About the artist
Mike was born in Lancashire in 1970 and now lives in Devon with his young family.
Wildlife Art
More recently I have concentrated on my wildlife art producing a series of paintings suited to print reproductions, this work is painted on a larger scale, with light and shadow being as much of a feature as the wildlife. I have started to exhibit this work both locally and nationally and most of the pieces are available as high quality Giclee prints. I work in acrylic on board, although I have just started my first oil painting!
Illustration
I have worked as a freelance illustrator for the last 10 years. My illustrations have appeared in books, magazines, posters, brochures, leaflets and identification panels. They range from small scientific studies to large 4 metre murals.

My client list includes Avon Wildlife Trust, Devon Wildlife Trust, Lancashire Wildlife Trust, INCA, ICI, Hobby Publications, BTO, Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary, BTCV, Sid Vale Association, East Devon Countryside Service, Devon Water Vole Recovery Project plus various Councils and Local Authorities.
Graphic Design
As well as the illustrations, I can supply the graphic design for certain projects and provide print ready artwork. I am used to working within tight deadlines and budgets and provide a quick, efficient, friendly service.
