Interpretation
Interpretation panels are a great way to let the public discover the natural history around them. Whether at home or on holiday, they help to identify the flora and fauna and describe the local history and geology. Maps point out nature trails, footpaths and sites of local interest and a real sense and feeling of a place is given.
Illustration and design
I produce high quality, bright and colourful illustrations that are scientifically accurate and easily identifiable. I am happy to make site visits to gather photographic reference or help draw up a species list for the display.
As well as the illustrations I produce all the graphic design, supply digitally drawn maps and add any photographs or logos that are needed. I can either supply the final artwork on a cd ready for printing or supply the finished printed panel.
Large scale interpretation panels
I am able to produce vector illustrations for large scale printing. These images are drawn digitally on the computer and so can be printed at any size without losing quality. They will retain their bright colours and sharpness of line which can often be lost when enlarging photographs or paintings.
Copy
If you require text for your interpretation I work with naturalist James Chubb. James has many years of experience producing copy for wildlife and conservation organisations. An informative, educational panel aimed at different age groups can really help get your message across!
